It’s not easy to find a free hosting service which last a long. There are few free web hosting services which have been lasted more than 5 years but most of these web hostings services doesn’t offer much. FriHost.com is a gem among these free hosting services because it has been provided a great service for over 5 years and they service is good as a paid web hosting service.  I can tell  they are better than most of budget hosting services.

I have joined Frihost in March 2006.  To keep your hosting account alive you have to be active in their forum. But this is not a big deal since you only need 30 points per month. You can easily get at least 2 points by a single post or topics I think you can get up to 5 point max for a post.  Point system is basted on word count on your posts and topics. Their forum has over 68803 registered users so its a hyper active place. its not hard to make couple of post everytime you login to it. or you can just make around 15 posts in one go and forget about it till next month.

They office you 250 Mb of space and 10 GB of traffic which is more than enough for someone who run couple of web sites.  No forced ads and you can add unlimited number of addon domains to your hosting account.  You get emails, parked domains , sub domains and everything you get from a shared hosting account.

2 things I really love about FriHost.com are they have a great forum basied support system which is better than most of paid shared hosting providers and also very little downtime.  You can say site uptime is over 98.5% most of the time.

If you have websites which gives you revenue but not enough to buy paid hosting or you don’t have a way to pay for hosting FriHost.com is the next best thing you got.
